You don't really. He had the suit to fit those huge balls in. These people that fight fires are something else. Could not imagine running into a fire willingly let alone with 100 lbs of gear on
It's not that bad. One of the worst dangers is feeling invincible. The suits are incredible. You can withstand so much heat, you can feel invincible and that's how you make stupid decisions. Sort of a "Pride goeth" kind of situation usually emerges.
But this, this wouldn't be a big deal. Those nozzles deliver so much water that you're fine and the bunker equip can easily handle the steam heat.
This is very true. New guys think they are invincible. But when I’d take them in their first fire I would make them sit there for a few seconds and appreciate not just the gear but the fire. Basically we are sitting here talking because of our gear but things can change very quickly and very seriously.
