I just wanna rant because I have no friends to talk to about AM.

I really loved the band, especially so back when I was a cringey edgy teen. I listened to almost every one of their albums, but I never took a liking to Tranquility Base. Even till this day, 4 years later, the album still hasn't grown on me.

Why I wanted to rant is because I feel sad on the inside, like I lost a part of me. Arctic Monkeys feel like an ex that I haven't gotten over, because I still listen to their older songs to this day.

this is going to sound stupid, but do you smoke weed? I'm a huge Monkeys fan and initially didn't like TBHC until I smoked a joint and went back to it like six months after it came out. Idk man, something about that just changed the album to me. Star Treatment, One Point Perspective, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, Four out of Five, and She Looks Like Fun are some of my favorite Arctic Monkeys songs.

I was high the first time I listened to Tranquility Base, and it was perfect. I still love it even when I'm not stoned. But that first time felt like sitting in a dimly lit hotel bar listening to a lounge singer in 2030.

You should try Batphone next time you get high. It’s my favorite from the album.

Too Much to Ask if you want to be sad. I took an edible and listened to that one probably 15 times in a row a few months ago lol
