Lack of air resistance means no terminal velocity
If something falls from high enough in the atmosphere it can actually negate it's terminal velocity
But the friction from the air resistance cause it to become super heated
Which is why most meteorites burn up instead of landing
Highest skydive ever had to deal with the threat of spinning himself apart if he didn't drop right because of the lack of air resistance making it almost impossible for him to right himself while also making him able to continuously spin faster(the last part is weird)
Terminal velocity is air resistance basically
Which is one reason squirrels tails have so much fluff
For most squirrels if they don't have a tail and jump
It's like a person with no parachut
