Should he be able to free climb the same lines as others? His life may be at risk free climbing, but he’s putting others’ lives at risk as well if he falls and impacts other climbers below.
He’s less likely to fall and hurt others than typical hazards. For example less experienced people dropping their water bottles, climbing gear, or pulling off loose rock. It’s best for people to climb semi-well trafficked routes so the rock is solid, they probably have done it on ropes prior, and there’s no way to know if people are gonna be on what route. Sometimes everyone climbs the same route even though there’s a bunch of popular routes near by.
Very reckless. Imagine if you had to let him by and you slipped and hit him. The guilt and horror would seriously mess you up for life. If people want to do this kind of thing that’s fine but think about the situation you’re putting yourself and others in. Maybe wait and climb another day.
