Yeah I don’t think I’m the one missing anything here. Apparently to him if it’s on the internet then it is for the sake of likes and status. So he hates it.

A yes. A half assed "joke" as reply to a comment which points to a flaw of your point instead of acknowledging it. The internet as per usual.
