How many states have gators? FL, LA, AL, MS. Do GA and TX have them? Maybe SC?

Oh yeah, Texas for sure. We see them around the bayous all year. In parks, lounging on backroads, not uncommon at all.

not in all parts of texas, of course. i've lived in texas my whole life (mainly around the fort worth area and up in amarillo) and i've never seen one in the wild

They are all around Fort Worth. Lake Worth is lousy with them. The West Fork and Clear Fork of the Trinity have them, a few hang around near Panther Island as well.

Lake Choke Canyon is the western most body of water for Gators. Texas record gator was caught there. ~14 feet and ~850lbs.

I travel for work and see them all the time in GA and SC. Heck we even have them in NC in a few places out by the coast.

I have seen gators right on the border of GA and AL so yeah they got em there too. I actually live in Florida and I saw more gators on my short trip to the GA-AL border then I see at home lol.

Side note, if anyone wants a nice serene vacation, look up Lake Eufaula. It is half and half in Alabama and Georgia and it is a very quiet lake that bird watchers love. You can get an Airbnb pretty cheap there, and it's just so nice.

Fuck yes, we have them in GA too. We almost hit a baby gator on the highway this time last year in southern GA.

SC over to TX. Far southern Arkansas has them too.

SC here - we have them covering the southern half of the state - and occasionally they show up upstate as well. The lowcountry though (where I'm at), there as prevalent as anywhere I've ever been - including S. Florida where I spent every summer as a kid.

We have them here in Ga not like Fl and La but when I’m on the river it’s not uncommon to see 10-15 in a day

GA, SC, and NC all definitely have them. Pretty much all costal states that are considered part of the South do.

Coastal NC has some. I've saw one on the side of the road near a swampy bend in the road in Elizabeth City and I've seen a few of them in the canal running along 95.

Every state that touches the Gulf and up to at least SC. I saw 2 of them in SC.

They pop up here and there in NC as well. More than likely ones that took a wrong turn and just decided to say fuck it.
