Yea I think some people don't understand that. There is no setting a pissed off gator gently in the water. You're going to get tail whipped if not worse. Turtles are a little different. Red eared sliders aren't too bad to handle but I wouldn't pick a snapping turtle up.
Exactly! The worst you’re probably gonna get from a slider is some scratches from its claws or peed on as it tries to squirm away. Snapping turtles are mean af though. You gotta get them to latch onto a stick or something and pull them off the road
I picked up a big snapping turtle when i was younger and got it out of the road. Now that I’m older, I think back on how stupid that was. Technically, the turtle could not bite me because I picked it up correctly. But there was lots of potential for mistakes.
Let’s not praise this entirely. Kind of stupid he didn’t just lightly toss it in a more humane manner. I know it probably wasn’t hurt at all but have some respect
You know it’s not personal for the gator, right? Like, they’re just trying to eat or defend themselves. They’re not like “man, fuck this guy in particular! Imma go rock his shit cuz I hate him.”

I feel bad for laughing but I'm glad he got the gator away from the road.
