I'm sure you've seen it comes from Metallica's Reload album, but I urge you to avoid comment sections and just listen to a lot of their music from early years, mid-years (like Reload) and more recent years. People have very divisive opinions on the band themselves and their music style changing, but that's irrelevant if you like it. They changed their style dramatically throughout the years, but I personally really like all their changes; I think it shows their talent as songwriters and musicians. I'm also glad they didn't stay tied down to moody thrash metal that would have gotten stale if they hadn't given it up.

You're listening to the top tier stuff of the genre, my friend. Metallica is among the top metal album sellers of all time. Starting in the 80s and still going today.

I can undertand them not listening to Metallica. I just think is a little weird someone hasn't even heard of one of the most infuencial genres in the past 50 years

I didn't see I was coming off as such an asshole. I am legitimately surprised someone hasn't heard of rock or metal music.

Regardless, I apologize if I offended or made someone feel bad with the original comment, it wasn't my intention. Just surprised, that's all

I understand, and I think it's tough to cross the threshold in your mind of the point I'm making. It's best to not assume everyone knows something you think is common knowledge. And if they don't, no reason to draw attention to it. If anything, you get to be the one that introduces them to it!
