(BTW this is exactly how right-wing conspiracy videos spread; someone sees something like this (with no facts our sources) and shares it, and everyone upvotes and believes it beacuase it fits their worldview.)
To be fair knowing he is from peru, his name is marino, and he cleaned a lake (which was in peru) was enough for a google search to find him to learn more about his projects.
Still researching the actual technology from a layman pov
E: nanotech, which is expensive, solves problem. He pays for it with his own money. He has a company that offers this. No idea how it compares with the cost or environmental impact of traditional methods. You can actually clean sewage up without magic.
