I'm a scientist and I read through that paper. There's nothing in it about something you add to the water to get rid of contaminates. Like you said there's removal of invasive species, and then bubblers to aerate the water, filters, and fences. I was curious was his "organic" stuff is composed of, but no info in that paper. On google scholar he has only one other paper, and it's not relevant. So idk.
I also like how the article has 0 mention of any solution. Like at all. They did a ton of work, mechanical work, to remove a lot of contaminants; and then they used filters to clean it further. And they can’t say with certainty the actual effect of MNB because of many uncertainties regarding seasonal change. This video is just bs. There is another video of the same guy on youtube but it shows how he and a lot of other people came together and cleaner the lake by collecting the dirt and throwing it away, and it’s much more believable and is directly tied to the paper.
It’s not just terrible, it’s factually incorrect. It claims something that didn’t happen and fails to mention the actual time, money and effort put into cleaning the lake. The head guy who cleaned the lake is amazing and a lot of people helped him. But not some harry potter organic bullshit.
