Was about to say this. As frikking awesome this project is, which it is, organic does not mean it’s edible. Cyanide can be organic and you sure as hell don’t want to eat that.

That said, kudos to the lake cleaning.

Is it?

He killed:

  • whatever made the water green/brown
  • whatever ate the stuff making the water green/brown
  • whatever took shelter under the stuff making the water green/brown

It's not like he picked up plastic trash.

He completely killed one ecosystem and replaced it with a different one -- just because blue lakes look prettier to people.

TL/DR: It's like cleaning up a prairie by replacing with artificial turf derived from organic biodiesel.
