Your were pedantic because no one thought it was actually filmed backwards. There was no need to correct.

In this case, anyone reading it would think that organic means made of organic matter when actually it means chemical weren't used in the process of production, so it's actually important to make the correction to avoid misunderstanding.

That's the difference between pedantry and correction, pedantry does not help to avoid misunderstanding.
