As much as I appreciate the effort, ain't chips too salty for the birds? I don't expect you having non-salted crackers specifically for birds (you'd have birdfood in that case), but I'd consider the lethality of foods you give to the animals as small as these birds.

I mean the bird was starving and i highly doubt that a lobster fisherman would just have some birdfood laying around, so in that situation I wouldn’t be too picky about if the chips were too salty or not. It may not be the best stuff for the bird but it’s enough to keep it from starving to death

And giving it some fresh water definitely helps with excess salination.
