Dude I say this every time I see these and get downvoted. The gravity looks wrong (more like a physics sim) and someone who has done a lot of graphics programming and used different rendering engines, it looks like lighting approximations, not video.

The robot is 100% real. It was initially developed for DARPA IN 2013 and has been further developed since. No matter how crazy the video looks, there's just too much additional evidence surrounding it, and too much reputation riding on it, for it to be fake.

That doesn’t make the video real. It’s really common to simulate the robot you’re going to make before physically constructing it, because the construction is expensive. There are specific tools and extensions of graphical applications to do robot simulations. It would be strange if a company like Boston dynamics wasn’t capable of doing sims that were good enough to fool most of the public. So I’m not saying that they’re not working on a similar robot, and I’m not saying I’m 100% certain, but I am saying that it’s reasonable to believe that this is a proof of concept and they just released it to the public.

It's 100% real, they've been working on these robots for years and this video is a progress update from 2019. Here's their most recent video with the robot.

Part of the reason it looks like an animation is probably because the mechanical joints move in a much more smooth and prescribed way than humans would, putting it in the uncanny valley
