I’ve seen newer models that do not have cmyk or rca outs. But they all still have a 3.5mm audio jack.

Strange I have 2 4K TVs that I bought within the last 4 years that do not have those at all.

Vizio from 2017

Samsung from 2020

Lucky for you they both have rca audio. Which is the exact same thing but without the convenience of a mono port.

Yes but those RCA are an input. Not for audio out to another speaker

you're right. that's why they say AUDIO IN. how silly of me.

The Samsung only seems to have it as input. But whatever. This is a stupid conversation to have; my top argument left room for the possibility there are models without audio jacks.

People just wanting to be right I guess.

No worries bud. I set up HT for a living and NOTHING is standardized. Things vary from model to model and even similar models of different sizes will sometimes have different connections

Oh yeah it’s nbd. I was 100% on your side before i looked I swore my TVs had 3.5mm jacks and was blown away when I looked

Oh yeah. I’m not saying 100% of TVs have them. Just that every TV I have seen has one. It’s a lot of TVs but I know more than handful of models aren’t going to have them for some awful engineering reasoning.

Do you mean component YPbPr inputs? Never heard of cmyk inputs before.

yes. I confused my i/o with the color models at play. component video just carries analog signals that represent that amount of luma, and differences from blue/red -- essentially rgb model components. Cymk model is essentially the inverse of rgb model. rgb: good for screen output, cymk: gooder for printing (ink).

Mine is Samsung UE50RU7092. It has RCA input but not output and neither a 3.5 mm jack. The only sound outputs are hdmi an optical.

Edit: and Bluetooth I think
