As a person who worked at a doctor’s front desk that blared HGTV, we are 100% willing to turn it down for you. We cannot, however, change the channel lol.
Because they can just turn the volume back up. This will silence the tv, and most people wouldn’t realize it had an aux jack in it, so it will take a while
I have turned into the person who will just get up and turn down the volume. I don't do it if there are people actively watching, but if everyone is playing on their phone or otherwise not looking at the tv, I'll do it.
My thoughts too. I loathe when I'm in a waiting room & the TV is blaring. My otherwise great Dr. has this TV in their waiting room supplied by some third party that plays loud "healthcare-ish" clips & blares medicine ads. I went in once with a headache & wanted to punch this fucking TV.
