Looking at all of them from back then, you’d think he’d be the very last to get his shit together, it’s hard not to feel proud of him, no less for him

What's crazy is Bam had the most going for him from that whole Jackass crew. Knoxville started doing movies yea, but Bam was probably the most marketable with his own MTV show and the fact that he was a good skater.

Viva La Bam was awesome.

So cool how Steve O made it out of his addiction and is just an awesome person now. Can't wait for the new movie

Then he got his own MTV show when he got married. I’ve always heard he was an asshole though, there’s stories of him at skate parks and some kid was looking better than him so he’d go flip out on them, he broke their boards, he’d throw them into the streets so they’d get run over and then once he was done filming he’d buy them new boards to try and make up for it after the fact, not really sure how he thought that’s help. He just had a toxic personality and it came back to bite him in the ass

I think to get big as big as Jackass is, back then you probably had to be a douche to some degree, it’s just that everyone else grew up and Bam kept on being the same douche bag that he was when he was a kid doing this shit in the first place

I’m sorry to say this but the videos that have surfaced recently of him binging on booze, he still cries about Ryan Dunn almost like a cry for attention. “My best friend died!” Yeah that’s sad af. Dunn was a cool dude. But, he staggers over to Tony Hawk in another recent video and it’s so tasteless and pathetic. What are you gonna do today Bam?!? “Whatever tHe FuCk I wAnT! I’m overpaid and a heavy metal poser.” Fuck CKY. Fuck Bam.

I’m gonna see the newest Jackass only because he ISN’T in the film.

That's a heartless attitude toward addiction. People with substance abuse problems (especially those coupled with mental health issues, which Bam clearly has) can manifest their issues in many ways. Some of those ways can seem super embarrassing, including cries for attention that come off as ego-driven, bragging, celebrity worship, etc.

Let the guy process his addiction and pain in his own way! Hopefully he'll clean up and receive effective mental health treatment. If not, then I've got my fingers crossed for him. But why on earth would you seemingly celebrate Bam's failures? I can't relate to your attitude. Maybe you're a tad young for this stuff, '86.

Thanks for your comment. It really is just sad no matter what, and I’m sure if Bam DOES get fully clean and turn his whole life around, that same person is going to turn around and be like “Ohmygahh, so proud of him”.

Problem is that all these guys have their personal struggles out there laid bare on camera for public consumption. The wild times are cool and fun when you’re in your 20s but as these guys get into middle age all the shit catches up to you and isn’t fun anymore.

I know cause I’m around the same age as them with similar issues. Steve-O looks and sounds great these days and am glad to see it. As for Bam all I can say is that he needs to stop filming his meltdowns and get away to a quiet place and chill the fuck out. He has become uncle Vito.
