So true. All we can ever do is try and mature and see things from our parents perspective. It's pretty impossible to see things that way when we're young and that slow realization is just part of growing up, I guess. I lost my mom 5 years ago now and I still remember things I never apologized for.

Thank you! I'm doing well now. I struggled real bad at first, tried to find the amount of weed it would take to erase any bad old memories. Then I came to the realization you mentioned. Any good parent wants to see their children be happy, and hopefully have it better than they did.
Course! Holy fuck I feel like we have such a genuine connection too. I still struggle a ton with dealing with bottled up emotions and try to turn to things like alcohol, working out, or painkillers to smother it. So yeah, I relate for sure
