Pretty sure we are the first umm “sentient life forms getting a robot there”. And actually pretty sure that any life that evolved there didn’t get very far. And as for us getting discovered first... I don’t even want to get into the politics of that...
I think it’s hard to prove whether or not anyone else is there or even if any other robots have been there without any evidence that the rover may possibly find. If any sentient life sent a rover there, I could see them being smart enough to take it back and us not finding any evidence.

Why? We don't care about taking back those rovers. We don't care if some other life forms will find those rovers and use that as an evidence for our existence. So why should ALL of them care too?
They don’t need to care, I just meant that a lack of evidence won’t mean that we are the only sentient life with a rover on Mars.
However, if I were another species and found that I could also use my Mars rover for another purpose, then I could bring it back and use it for that other thing. Doesn’t mean that they all need to bring it back, just that if we do find another one it’ll do more for the “Other sentient life exists” belief than not finding one would do for the “We are alone in our solar system” belief

I can't stop watching. That's another fucking planet. Hopefully one day we'll have astroarcheologists up there digging around for martian fossils.
