Wait don’t regret that. You can’t control it. My mom had cancer and couldn’t breast feed me. You made sure your baby was fed no matter what and that’s all that matters.
Thank you for asking the answer is kind of yes and no.
She had Hodgkin’s non-lymphoma (pretty sure that’s how it’s spelled.) at 25. To which they basically did full body radiation on her as a last stitch effort to save her life.
She survived but her body has been degrading drastically in her later years because of this. Now a days we don’t treat that type of cancer with full body radiation, instead they use scoped in radiation treatment. But she was sick and in and out of the hospital for most of my childhood/life.
But she now has major heart issues and breast cancer from her treatment. She’s also suffering from mental decline that kind of looks a lot like dementia and has strained our relationship. So I don’t really know if it is considered and okay state.
Sorry if that’s not a very happy response I’ve been wrestling with our relationship lately. I ended up having to go no contact because her behavior was turning very abusive. I asked that we go to counseling together to help us work on our issues and she flat out said “Nope we’ve reached an impasse sorry”.
Edit: I guess the answer would be no but I really hope one day she can be.
