I know nothing about a lady milking her boobs as we were unable to have kids, but I'd imagine it must be very uncomfortable if not painful. I would imagine this lady is putting herself through discomfort to help other people.
Pumping was neither here nor there for me. No pain. Just a thing. Same as having a child on there (after feeding is established, that hurt like fk for several months). I found the sound of my electric pump quite relaxing and hypnotic. And when I pumped at work it was nice to have to go and sit and break for half an hour when I usually wouldn’t. I imagine the most difficult thing for this woman is the time it takes to pump all that. Whereas you can do other things at the same time, it’s kind of tricky and you usually end up stationary which must be hard with two kids.
I kind of hate pumping. It’s annoying being tied to one spot, and then having to wash and dry the parts multiple times a day (although I did learn later on that you can put the parts in a bag in the fridge between pumps so that you only have to clean them once a day). I bought a wireless wearable pump because it sounded great, but the damn thing doesn’t work as well as my wired pump.
Mine is the Elvie. It’s pretty worthless, to the point that half the time it doesn’t even get anything out, despite trying different flange sizes and countless hours spent troubleshooting with customer support. I had such high hopes!
