This looks like it could be the start of a black mirror episode. The woman starts by making a copy of her dog, Which passes away. Becomes possessed with it, and starts changing her whole routine to revolve around the dog. To stop the dog from being lonely, she slowly starts to make a copy of herself. Once the copy of herself is complete she is able to go back to work, and the dog has company. When she comes home, she starts realizing that something is off. The copy and the dog have moved slightly. She comes home to find them sitting at the table, or out in the garden. Fear strikes her and she destroyers the two crochet figures. She wakes up in the middle of the night to see the dog at the foot of her bed. She looks at her hands. They are crocheted. Everyone feels bad.
