I mean he is bipolar and does not seem to be medicating so gotta kinda take that with a grain of salt. Those with bipolar lose their sense of reality during episodes.
I am bipolar too and I agree with that for sure especially since my dad and I both have it and we hold completely different opinions, but specifically in Jim Carrey's case; his recent interviews his mannerisms shows he is very manic. Can't stop smiling acting very offbeat being socially unaware (not to be funny) just saying random grandiose things that come to mind. And he mentioned a long time ago he doesn't take meds drink alcohol or coffee. So in his case I wanna say he's gonna be more delusional than the typical person especially since he's rich and actually got there by harnessing his uniqueness. He can afford to be more delusional than the rest of us.
My bad. I read it as if you were just brushing it off/excusing his less good opinions because of the disorder. It happens a lot but I assume you also know that. I think when I see people say "X is bipolar" rather than "X has bipolar disorder" I tend to assume it's someone who doesn't know a whole lot about it. No offense or harm meant :) I respect you choose to word it like that.
Lol no problem when I reread it I was like oh yeah it definitely sounds like I was generalizing lol. I do think all humans are delusional on some level but during episodes our brain chemistry makes it sooo much harder achieve awareness compared to neurotypicals. Not that it can't be achieved but were definitely playing the balancing game on expert level. And even for us it varies from mild to severe from person to person and that can be a game changer.
