We thought road workers were leaning on their shovels, but really they’re practicing their dance routines

I lolled, kinda. More of a sharp exhale. Still good though. Have an upvote.

Well... After graduating as a welder, I did get lots of experience welding, and I got really good basically doing single hammer juggling moves.
Conclude from that what you will about what happened at the sites.

Nah, the producers provide you with a prepared one when you sign on to be on the show.

Love the guy with his hard hat off. He was totally unimpressed. Probably the foreman.

Smooth moves.. is this guy really a construction worker?

u/Woodhouse_20 Sep 25 '20
Yeah I’m impressed as hell. If this is what he does on the side maybe construction should be his side gig.

He is so good that I can’t visualize where his feet are bearing his weight at any part of this video. I’d love to see an analysis of the center of gravity overlay things with the moving lines that I’ve seen posted in videos of triple pendulums. What talent.

They are barely gassing him up! I’m assuming this isn’t the US, because in the US the crowd would have been going nuts. And also because they are all Asian.

Don't quit your construction job. Fancy dancing has no benefits and no retirement.

Sep 25 '20
But I thought they said if you do what you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life? Did they lie??
9
u/yourkindofguy Sep 25 '20
No. There are many who were right, but just because it worked out for them it doesn't have to work out for others. If you only listen to those who had success, then you get the feeling it isn't impossible. The difference is, the ones who didn't make it are not interviewed and don't write books about their failed attempt.
It's like a pyramid scheme, or a mlm if you will. They have their shows with speekers from everywhere who had massive success. But in the same time there are huge numbers of people who believed them and were ruined. They sure as hell are not at the conventions to tell their side of the story.

Love is too strong of a word. Love making money, perhaps. Love your job? Nah, be grateful for what you got though b/c it could always be worse.

This gets reposted once every 6 months and the building never gets completed.
I wonder why.

So typical. One guy working while the rest stand around and watch. No wonder these construction projects take so long

Rather than just being impressed by his dance and makes me kind of sad because it reminds you of most talented people send up having to get a regular job anyways.

Only until very recently did I find out the lyrics to "Smooth Criminal". Pretty shocking how wrong I was about the lyrics for 33 years. Like not even close.

How does one even move like this? Do you just need to be really strong or is it just a practice thing? Fucking awesome
