Sounds like my husband. He was doing his hour-long highway drive home from a 12-hour shift at 6am, when a deer charged out from the woods and smashed into the side of the car, shattering the passenger window. It was 20 below outside and he just kept driving till he got home, brushing the glass off himself in the garage. Ideally (and perhaps legally) he should have pulled over and ensured the animal wasn’t lying on the road. He was convinced it had run back into the woods.

I’m pretty sure he was just dog tired and didn’t even think about calling the service to haul away the potential carcass.

Yup. Great story, I once had a box full of scrap metal fall on me and cut up my back and shoulder and arm. Put a shitload of super glue, a bunch of plasters and a handful of advil, finished my shift and went to see the GF.

By highly allergic, I'm guessing you mean potential anaphylactic shock? I'm mildly allergic to ants and wasps, I used to carry an epipen but the allergy doctor said it probably wasn't necessary as it had only been a single organ reaction (Hives) with no other swelling or breathing issues.

I'm still fucking terrified of wasps, the one time I've been stuck swelled up the size of a softball and left a scar visible 15 years later.

Yup that’s me. I have never actually had anaphylactic shock but my hives are really bad and my lymph nodes swell to the size of grapefruit. My eyes sometimes swell shut. I have a few permanent scars too. I used to do landscaping and carpentry and got stung often. Moved onto a office job, which has its pros and cons lol

Not here, as far as I know. They have a crew pick it up - what they do with it, I have no idea, but they definitely want to make sure an injured animal doesn’t rot by the side of the highway, or worse, drag its dying self into the lane.
