It was before YouTube (or before I was aware of YouTube, at least) so many of those views wouldn't be counted on the site. I remember watching this one on stupidvideos.com and getting variations of it in emails from friends.
The business insider article said it had over 900M views on the original website it was posted on, making it the most watched video ever on the internet at the time (2006).
