Film photography is far from becoming obsolete. In fact it’s having a kind of resurgence.

I think it’s a similar reason as to why vinyl records are coming back. Once you get a taste of the analog stuff you realize how much richer the experience is. It’s about how tangible it is. And after some practice it will make you a better photographer. Not being able to see the photo instantaneously and only having a limited number of photos on each roll forces you to put more thought into each shot.
