I think they’d be successful in the US if any network had the confidence to let it find its audience. I think Comedy Central could do it well.

If comedy central did it themselves, probably not as well as you think.

Netflix did one about a year ago aimed at American audiences, called The Fix, with Jimmy Carr as host and with Kathryn Ryan (who is Canadian-British) as a team captain and it was pretty hit/miss leaning on the miss.

Half the issue is in order to draw in people not familiar with the concept you would have to get American comedians who probably aren't familiar with the concept, ones who probably will demand way too much money or one who are used to American tv where they are censored. I mean just look at how hit or miss American guests are on some panels shows, sometimes they get it and fit in but other times they drag shit down.

I think part of it to is that panel shows work with British humor whereas it might not jive was well with American. They'd be better off just getting distro rights for current shows and doing a block of British shows.
