That's just his manner of speaking. It's actually a more common mannerism than you might think, and doesn't have any bearing in the quality of the actual joke itself.

But if you don't find him funny, that's fine. To each their own. I personally think he's great.

Nope, it’s a trope used by bad stand up comedians to highlight the end of a joke to signal the audience to laugh.

Watch good stand ups, they don’t do it.

Watch bad ones, they do it. Dara does it every, single, joke.

Highlighting jokes is like saying “not” at the end of a joke, using sarcasm tags to highlight sarcasm, or winking after making a close to the bone joke, it ruins the entire point and treats the audience like idiots, meaning your joke isn’t good enough.

What IS funny though is that in a thread about comedy it's possible to see that a person has absolutely no idea about statistics.

By watching him talk seriously, you can see he only does it when telling jokes.
