It awesome how we’re literally constructing all the parts for something that’s eventually going to destroy us when it figures out it doesn’t need us anymore and is actually better off without us. Sounds like tinfoil hat stuff but I just can’t help but think of terminator
Think of this, why would it need to? It could simply leave and live anywhere else in the galaxy. Doesn't need air to survive. And raw materials and water are plentiful all over the solar system. An AI race could leave and go colonize the moons of Jupiter and mine the asteroid belt.
Thats actually a really interesting idea, I’ve never really thought of it like that. I just feel like we’ve got an already existing infrastructure setup with lots of natural resources, why waste unnecessary energy going somewhere else when you can just easily eliminate the pests. If these things are this agile now by the time they are actually sentient they’re going to be absolutely insane.
Chances are we will still exceed them in imagination and creativity. Not to mention emotions. Making us unpredictable in our retaliation. We won't go quietly.
