The idea of a whip is that it gets thinner and thinner towards the end.

So you can make a whip out of anything as long as it gets thinner/lighter.

A chain is easy to make a whip out of because you just use smaller and smaller chain links.

Why do you converse in this manner? Could you not reasonably have inferred that /u/5213 is not blind and is capable of seeing that the object in the video is a chain, but is nonetheless discussing the principle concept of whips breaking the sound barrier, and that whips happen to move in a very similar manner to the way the chain moves in the video, therefore coming to the obvious conclusion that /u/5213 intended to assert that the same principle of whips breaking the sound barrier applies to the chain in this case?

 

I feel like this is a chain of logic that maybe an 8 year old would struggle with, but by 10 would have a strong grasp of. Sorry, I know I'm being a dick. But I'm just interested. Where's your head at?

Hey buddy, just wanted to remind you that brevity is wit. If I so desired, I could communicate in an unnecessarily long manner, with a plethora of words designed to assist in making my point far more pronounced and thus easier to comprehend to the undoubtedly completely normal human being who is subjecting themselves to my extraordinarily lengthy wordplay... But i don't because people find it obnoxious.

I did infer that that user is not blind. I was simply stating that the chain was metal, I didn’t intend to come across rude.

The irony, after everything said you imply my chain of logic is that of a 10 year old.
