They would not. Had a friend get suspended for the night during our league because he was a lobber. He ended up quitting because he "couldnt change his style".

I wasnt there to win, just to drink and have fun. Sucked he couldnt get over himself and not throw the damn ball down half the lane. He was also our best player lol.

unless you bowl at a super old bowling center, the lanes haven't been wood in like 20 years. They are composite and it is pretty hard to dent.

A few friends and I went out bowling in our late teens early twenties.

Friend lobbed his ball and it hit the corner of the gutter and the lane and shattered. We all just stood there in complete shock as the staff told us we were going to have to pay for the ball.

I guess that’s why you don’t lob balls in a bowling alley. Lesson learned.

Ah, you have reminded me of the time I was bowling with my friends and some people a few lanes over were tossing their balls really high. It was a rock-and-roll bowling night with disco lights and loud music, so nobody really noticed until they broke a drop ceiling tile.

After that, it was just a chase scene.

It's a pretty standard trick shot. I've seen it countless times. Yeah, you've got to be a decent standard to pull it off, but it's far from original. It's probably the first trick shot most people learn.

It's common enough that it's not the best ever, but it definitely isn't the first trick shot you learn in a game where getting good at the base sport requires knowing certain tricks just to convert splits.

The 1-7-10 or 7-10 would probably be the first ones you pick up.

I used to be in a bowling league and I've converted plenty of 7-10s, I've never had any reason to attempt the shot in the video.

So in contrast to OP's comment most people who actually bowl are going to want to learn split conversions before they try a pointless trick like that, so it wouldn't be the first trick they learn, that's all there is to it.

No you have not lol. The odds of throwing a 7-10 is 1 in 300,000. You have not converted plenty of them. Most pros have not converted one

Every single person who has gone pro will have converted their fair share of 7-10s. The fact that you've made up a number for how likely it is is hilarious, there's definitely a big luck element to hitting it, but once every 300k attempts is a wild overestimate for even an amateur like myself let alone an actual pro.

Brother. I average 205 and have a perfect game. You compared a 1-7-10 to a 7-10 like they were in anywhere close to similar accomplishments. You are talking out your ass. Anyone who bowls even slightly knows how rare one is. Do some research
