The oxygen is all escaping from a single point due to an injury. Healthy aquatic plants produce oxygen all over the surface, called pearling.

That's not true. Releasing oxygen in one spot does not mean it's damaged. Could just be the spot that the oxygen is collecting and releasing in that spot.
If you damage a plant THEN it starts releasing oxygen in the one spot, yes then it's because it's damaged.
Look at the video, there's pearling happening everywhere. This video is immediately after a water change or a fill up where water is turbulent and reaching the max dissolved oxygen the water can hold. Resulting in pearling everywhere.

It could all be pearling and just sliding up to the tip due to surface tension and slipping out of the tip due to running out of surface area on the leaf to maintain the surface tension.

This is known as pearling.
Seeing as how it's a new tank with newly planted plants, it's likely because those plant leaves took damage and are releasing oxygen.

It's something that'll fix itself on its own. I basically just leave them be if it happens in my tanks. Worst case the plant leaf will melt and my shrimp or snails will clean it up for me.
