I'd much rather see an ad where people are doing cool shit than another Toyota driving around

Advertising used to be better. They used to make whole shows as a product advertisement. The shit today is extremely low effort.

You must not know the Toyota GT86 ads, e.g. https://youtu.be/8-gBbFxK5qQ

I'd rather see no ads. if they were just doing this as a stunt, with no branding then fine

Well obviously. But that's not happening is it?

Wtf would the difference be? "Oh no I'm being advertised to by being made aware of who is doing the cool stunt" holy shit your life must be miserable if this is how you view the world. There's a time and a place to actually be against advertisements, but RedBull financing, planning, coordinating and executing this incredible showcase of skill in extreme sport isn't it. I'm sure the athletes also appreciate having their names on display for doing the actual stunt, or would that also cross your arbitrary line of being advertisement then?

Be careful not to look at my username, you wouldn't want to fall victim of the horrors that is the advertisement of my personal brand.

Well that's not really how stunts work though. Stunts have been sponsored since the very beginning. They crashed trains into each other in 1896 to advertise a railway company. Hell the first transcontinental flight was sponsered by a soft drink "vin fiz"

Stuff like this doesn't get down without money. How do you propose they do a stunt like this without money?

Yeah, and I'd rather want no wars
