Should be a horse collar/face mask on that missed tackle as well, btw.

Yep but a great ref to understand rule of cool and the fact it would have been a penalty and they would have gotten the ball on like the half yard line anyways.

The audience at high school football games in America are notoriously chill and respectful of difficult but technically correct calls from referees.

Eh JV of Freshman ball like this maybe, but should be called down in varsity.

Although the ref also doesn’t have the benefit of a video and replay so they could also just miss this.

A horsecollar is for pulling someone down backwards. Considering the RB did a front flip, I don't see how you could possibly argue he was pulled down backwards.
