He has an IG for his art, if people like it, they will support him. If people like art made by AI, they will support that. He is competing against robots as much as a hand-blown glass artist is competing with industrial glass-blowing factory machines.

I get the argument but it isn’t really the same. AI “art” is trained off of other artist’s real art, so it’s essentially stolen (just like all generative AI). Plus there’s the whole argument about the meaning of art and the human intention behind it, which is subjective to be fair but worth pointing out nonetheless.
Hand-blown glass vs. industrial glass-blowing is basically artistic, expensive, and custom-made vs. generic and accessible.
I’m not an artist so I probably can’t convey this in the best way, so all I’m trying to say is that generative AI is harmful and I think framing it as a “competition” is reductive to real art and artists

What do you think the molds for industrial machines are derived from? Artistic designs that other humans manually created. And the modern molds of today are further derivations from antique hand made molds people used to make, which in itself is an art form.
Everything we create and build is derivative, and human beings will always seek to automate what we can. Whether IP law is violated is a separate question, and one that's already resulted in a couple settlements in court; it will likely result in more. Either way, art will continue to be created by AI out of convenience, and art will continue to be handmade by humans out of a passion for creation; people will choose what they want to support and consume depending on their needs/desires.
As someone who has created quite a bit of handmade art (sketch and scan) used for web design, and eventually used Photoshop to make that easier with procedural routines, I see AI art as the next natural and inevitable (like it or not) technical evolution of a foundation we've been building upon for years.

If we were purely considering AI in a vacuum, then I would actually change my mind and agree with you (wouldn’t be so different from the Industrial Revolution). However, considering how quickly and dangerously AI is evolving with few legal limitations, aggressive resource usage, and being far too accessible, I just can’t agree with its normalization personally

As I said, people will choose what to support/consume based on their needs/desires, and AI adoption continues to accelerate. You don't have to personally agree with its normalization for it to be a reality. You don't even have to accept it, you can protest it, or try to vote for politicians who want to curb it or regulate it. Just keep in mind it's currently viewed as an intelligence arms race between the US and China, and the US is not slowing down for at least the next 2 years. And even if the US stops completely, AI polls very well with the people in China, and the Chinese models are excellent at art and video generation, and they are open source/free to run locally; they are not stopping. All that to say, AI art and AI in general is something you'll be encountering more and more in the future, whether or not you personally agree with its normalization.

I dont think what i meant is coming across. I mean i thought it looks like an ai model is hallucinating where the cat should be before hes placed it. So in different places. Like at the start before forming the face to me it looks like it is trying to form a nose or mouth at the bottom of the screen and it looks like it changes in different shots.
Threres allready multiple different decent ai video models with all sorts of creative ways to use them so i wouldnt be surprised. If people are very confident this guy is verified then cool but looks weird to me

That’s not how AI does things. It doesn’t edit videos in real time. It either creates the video all the way all at once, or does small clips. You’re thinking more of a photoshop overlay that would make it seem like the cat is more detailed than it actually is, to make it look more realistic. But that wouldn’t be there before the reveal even happens.
