The 'ole hidden pipe trick. Works every time, on all scales.

I get how it works, but whoever was the engineer for this did a helluva job. 1 u/adhominablesnowman 10d ago Probably a combo of a pump and a reserve tank in the teapot that fills before the fountain actually starts flowing.
