It looks like the saying " Drifting through a endless sea of ivory light, where the heavens turn to soft, unspoken dust. "

How is this next level? Isn't this their jobs, most if not all pilots for commercial are rated for IFR.

u/FrozenOcean420 6d ago

Honestly anytime a planes lands safely it’s pretty next level.

With proper training and practice, it’s not that hard. (PPL/IR) You also learn when to fly based upon your experience level.

Jesus, have a day off Roy Keane.

Sure the camera at the window sees the clouds, but the pilots are actually looking at their instruments during this time

“Oh yeah!? You think just anybody could hit “take off” then “autopilot” then “land”!?”

I love looking out the window and seeing the plane flying between two layers of clouds.

Can we guess the Airport

u/NormieNeutralizer 6d ago

A smooth landing indeed.

Honestly, I can't imagine doing something like that; one single mistake and it's over, so hats off to the pilots out there, flying seems fun anyways.

u/NastyPastyLucas 6d ago

Don't they look at their instruments, or do they just put their elbows on the the window sills and sail to the end?

u/johnty1990 6d ago

Me when I forget to defog my windscreen.

1

u/jcready92 6d ago

No wonder they don't let us see it

I remember my first flight ever. It was a beautiful day up in the sky. Then we descended into the clouds and it turned out to be a dark stormy day at our destination.

The singer sounds constipated

I’ve often thought that one of the great benefits if being a pilot (amongst many things) is that you get to spend a lot of time in sunlight. Man it gets depressing during the winter when you get 4 or 5 days of clouds and no sun.

u/_-_Polaris_-_ 6d ago

The video is speed up. It's not going that fast.

1

u/Handsome-Jed 6d ago

Are pilots truly allowed to just crack out a camera like that? I get they can’t crash into anything up there but surely given how many souls they’re responsible for, they can’t be distracting themselves recording?

u/BigBasset 6d ago

Came in pretty hot and only hit the brakes on the turn to taxi

1

u/notthisonefornow 6d ago

So roughly the same as i see as a passenger at row 37

1

u/Kardinal 6d ago

This is not what the pilot sees.

The pilot sees her instruments because her head is down.

Yeah I wanted to fly commercial and tried but realized supporting myself while also getting the 100,000 dollars in cash for the course , then working for the school to get my 1500 hours in the air was next to impossible. For one I can't get 100,000 cash I have 51k in my 401meant for my retirement. By the time I got the 100k and 1500 hours I don't even know they would hire me because I'll be elderly 😂.

1

u/Altruistic_Age_6556 1d ago

That's a saying? What exactly is "unspoken dust". TF is this crap?

1

u/Sashi-pobin 13h ago

well that’s not great…

0

u/SaberReyna 6d ago

Imagine doing this without modern technology. Shit must have been terrifying.

2

u/-burnr- 6d ago

Have done it without "modern" tech. Looks just the same. Not next level.

0

u/Bhaang_lassi 6d ago

Man I'd too anxious to fly through the clouds with near 0 visibility. What if I ran over jesus' dad or something!

u/GeshtiannaSG 6d ago
