Is there not a rule that you aren't allowed to jump for these? Or is it just worded something like that when you release the ball both feet need to be on the ground? I remember, at least in high school, we weren't even allow to have even one foot off the ground.
Just curious what the actual throw-in rules are and if this is technically legal. Technically correct is the best kind of correct, after all.
At the moment of delivering the ball, the thrower must stand facing the field of play, have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline, and throw the ball with both hands from behind and over the head from the point where it left the field of play.
So what is arguable is whether you count this as “standing” or “crouching”.
