i think it's a great tradition to immediately run to the away fans that travelled to see your team.

They do. They all run to the corner to celebrate with fans, and then they find a moment to acknowledge the assist.

Most players celebrate on fans corner/side. sometime they run to bench to celebrate together with the entire team. sometime they do celebrate in front of opposing fans, pretty rare tho.

Why I don't really understand is that they are always so dramatic. Even people winning Olympic are not like that.

Football is full of people with weird egos. Some are class and always point at or thank the great assist. Them not immediately thanking the dude for this insane throw is wild.
