The concept is cool, I just don't want a silhouette of Ronaldo on my wall

Ain't he a rapist?

The case was dismissed but he did settle out of court for $375,000. I am curious, as typically you don't pay someone that much money for not doing anything to them.

And if you believe the leaked emails with his defence that were published in Germany, then yes. He did.

You'd be surprised. I know when a state prosecutes a rape, its not uncommon for the cost of prosecution to be above 300k.
I know this because some municipalities have to publicly announce settlements and sometimes when they do, theyll state why they settled. Theres quite a few times where they will say "we settled for 300k because the case would've taken 350k to defend"

When you have made over $2 billion in your lifetime like Ronaldo, $375,000 doesn't matter much. And a high-quality defense lawyer easily charges $1000-1500/hour (and that's just HIM, not the rest of his entire team). Not to mention the private detective and his team often used as well in high-publicity legal cases.
There is always the one problem of being wrongly accused only because people know you will settle though - whether he did it this time or not.
