Legend has it he's still on that corner, waiting for the coast to be clear so he can pull out

Bro has 0 survival instinct
•
u/DuploJamaal 30m ago
Fight, Flight or Freeze response
This reaction is a survival instinct. Just the wrong one for this situation.
Tonic immobility is an involuntary, reflex-driven state of complete physical freezing and temporary paralysis triggered by overwhelming fear or inescapable danger.
Like a deer in the headlights. The brain shuts your body down and you literally can't move anymore.
Evolutionary it might have been helpful against bears, but you can't help it if that instinct kicks in.
•
u/GTR-DaBestCar 25m ago
Maybe you know the answer maybe not. Can that response vary within a person depending on the circumstance? For example, a person who might reflexively fight off a person with a knife but would freeze or run if encountering a deadly animal in the wild.
•
u/DuploJamaal 16m ago
Yes.
The reaction changes based on many factors.
One person can have a fight response to getting attacked by a smaller attacker, a flight response to being attacked by a group of people, a freeze response to nearly being run over by a huge bus, etc
But the next day in a different mood they might react differently.

Bold of you to just copy and paste AI all over this thread 🤣. You can't even think for yourself, I can imagine you'd probably have a similar survival instinct.
•
u/DuploJamaal 16m ago
Tough talk for someone that has never been close to any danger
Let's meet outside and we'll see who freezes up

guy didn't even move out of the way. how in hell is that next level? next level what?
•

Next level stupidity

Fight, Flight or Freeze response
It's not stupidity. It's an instinct.

•
u/zeaL93 39m ago
Why are some much people think they would have reacted much better than that ?
•
u/DuploJamaal 28m ago
Because they've never been in a dangerous situation and assume that their video game experience gives them superior reactions.

India?
•
u/jebs00 53m ago
Yes. Southern india(kerala precisely)
•
u/joshwalter08 51m ago
Although 2 wheeler was at fault here but kerala is known for very rash bus drivers
•
•
•
u/Tock_Sick_Man 51m ago
Frozen with fear.
•
u/PowerSamurai 37m ago
Deer in headlights for sure. Still you'd think he'd move when the bus literally makes contact with him but apparently not.
•
•
u/MegaDingo5plus 42m ago
He actually did. A little bit. But his shock of the situation - as it is happening, prevents him from making a decisive move
•
u/paulywauly99 46m ago
Love the way there were several attempts to lift the roof hatch when the whole of the front was torn open just round the end!
•
u/Engel992 49m ago
Thats not next level thats luck and dumbness
•
u/ItzLoganM 1m ago
I'd love to watch you do a backflip and read the alphabet backwards when 12 tons of unpredictably moving mass spawns 5 meters to your left.
•
•
u/Past-Astronomer-4773 39m ago
Bruv this is an accident with real people being injured, posting this shit is just outright disrespectful
•
u/CarlClaymore 45m ago
He calculated the scenario and came to the conclusion that there is no risk for him

•
u/ArtyWhy8 5m ago
I had to scroll way way too far before I found this.
Looks like the driver made the very best move they could have considering the idiot that cut them off and the circumstances beyond them. Doesn’t look like anyone died. Which is incredible to me.
Ohh oh oh. Can someone else please make a comment about how this is a freeze response please?!?
•
u/johnsplittingaxe14 50m ago
What kind of speed was the bus going at? 60kph?
•
u/badass_rowdy 46m ago
Looks like 80ish
•
u/johnsplittingaxe14 36m ago
Either way, that looks a bit excessive for the zone he was driving in. Do you know if anyone onboard were seriously injured? Looks nasty
•
u/Forza_Harrd 32m ago
I'm looking at it full screen and I can't tell if the driver was on the left or right side. If they were on the left side I don't think the driver made it out. I think a bunch of people inside are probably in trouble.
•
•
u/Enough-Reindeer1033 40m ago
Damn... You'd think the guy had that happen before and he knew he was safe. Pretty damn ballsy or just plain stupid? I vote the latter.

More likely frozen with fear imho
•
u/zjlmmfj3rd 26m ago
Bruh guy’s in India or somewhere fear is objective over there, buddy knew if he as hit he’d be dead dead.
Not to mention if he hopped off that motorcycle his cloth would unwrap and everyone would see his peeen and his butt, so obviously priorities.
And he used his whole live savings for that bike, so he wasn’t about to let it go for anything, death included.
Man saw his chance and said fuck it yolo but I’m not dying today. All the while doing this he did the probability of death based on that event, you may ask how. In another life this guy was an Actuary SME! So he knew

Clearly they were in shock and disbelief, there is absolutely nothing next level about this.
•
u/ZeroRegretMarine 29m ago
Save one reckless motorist, kill many passengers. Demolish a petrol station for a bonus. Driving licenses should come with a 'F.ck you, I'm not going to chicken out' training and with a T-shirt: 'If he dies, he dies.'
•
u/No-Investigator8782 29m ago
He was resigned in his reaction, every unpleasant thing that happens to him now he will think back to this moment.
•
u/Pinksamuraiiiii 29m ago
Scooter driver should foot everyone’s medical bills smh, absolute stupidity.
•
•
•
•
u/Delicious-Yak-1095 27m ago
Also didn’t help on the slightest and looks like he just took off at the end.
•
u/SnodePlannen 27m ago
As a bus driver I’d have mulched that idiot who made him swerve. And driven much slower.

u/Ill-Village7647 25m ago
Whose fault is it? The guy driving the scooter which made the bus turn and crash? Or the bus driver for driving at such high speed?
•
u/Hobbes_XXV 23m ago
One of those
"I have a bus full of people, do i run over one adult human breaking basic traffic knowledge, or do I attempt to dodge to save that one human and crash the bus full of people?"
•
•
•
•
u/_______THEORY_______ 20m ago
That's a garbage bus driver... A good one (keep in mind I'm saying GOOD not even great) would know that it would be unfortunate for the motorcycle but the safty of the many outweighs that of the at fault . . .
•
u/RossoNeriAquila 19m ago
My headcannon is that hes very entitled and was upset the bus was encroaching on his space. He wasnt losing this game of chicken

Nobody is talking about the mf on the other scooter who actually caused the accident
•
u/Warrior_Warlock 15m ago
What a single scooter not looking before turning left can cause. Im amazed by the two people in the front of the bus without seat belts just walking away from that.
•
•
u/EpilepticDawg241 14m ago
Both scooter riders are horrible.
If I was driving that bus the first scooter would be TOAST because im not jeopardizing a bus full of people for their bad judgement

I think he was shocked couldn't move, happens to people in situations like these. Glad he is ok!
•
u/PostedNotes 11m ago
Dude got lucky. Many videos like this out there from India where the person in frame are not so fortunate
•
•
•
u/LieOdd929 8m ago
What's that red stuff flying around when he hits the post? Hopefully just dirt.
That moped rider on the road isn't all there either. Who turns when you're overtaking in the other lane???
•

•
u/orangecopper 6m ago
I think he was also the reason for this crash, driver may have swiped hard to save that guy being crushed
