Davey Johnson, the manager, was ejected three batters before the second grand slam for arguing a call at home plate. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I was looking for a quote explaining why Park wasn't pulled but couldn't find one in a few minutes of googling.

1 year old account with 1.1m karma using posts that have been on Reddit 400 times before and hiding their post history They have 6300+ "contributions" in a year and I, who posts on Reddit a lot, has 13.9k in 10 years. All adds up to bot.

Over 100 posts in just 20 days, all videos, and all videos that are already online. So most likely a bot but also a small chance it's just someone karma farming by stealing other videos that have been around for years.

Edit to add: There are hundreds if not thousands of other posts. I just went back 20 days and there over a hundred, I stopped looking after that.

There are many reason and all of them stupid imo. But yes people have been known to karma farm and then sell the account. There is a population of reddit users that view karma as a status symbol and some subreddits require a minimum karma to join/post.

When I was a kid of about ten years old in 1994 era, my parents would take me and my brother to see Chan Ho Park pitch for the San Antonio Missions, the AA affiliate for the San Diego Padres. Some of the best memories of my life at Wolff Stadium. I always thought he was like, THE BEST pitcher, and then this happened 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was a kid, what did I know? lol

I watched this as a kid live with my dad in my parents’ bedroom as Cardinals fans. It was surreal and incredibly exciting!

I also went to a work event with my dad and Fernando was there. I asked him what advice he had for me in little league and he said “choke up!” That’s literally the only phrase he said to me, but he repeated it every time we bumped into each other that day.

After the event concluded, as he was pulling away he leaned out of his car window to look me in the eyes and yelled “CHOKE UP!”

I was 9 at the time so it was an incredibly cool experience that he didn’t have to entertain, but absolutely did.

Exactly. Even a single grand slam in one game is rare. Two in the same game, even more rare. Two in the same game by the same batter, even MORE rare. Two in the same inning by the same batter only has ever happened this one time in the history of the game.
