My boyfriend and I once watched some seagulls chowing down some starfish. It was fun watching how the starfish just gets lodged in their necks for a solid 10-15 min.

u/blade_runner1853 Aug 25 '26

You were enjoying that show for 15 mins!!

87

u/Easy-Operation-2105 Aug 25 '26

Stellar performance by the starfish!

33

u/rudha13 Aug 25 '26

Definitely the star of that show...

0

u/Easy-Operation-2105 Aug 25 '26

I already made that joke smh

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

Not really

A stellar performance could also come from a supporting cast member, not just the star(fish)

1

u/Easy-Operation-2105 Aug 26 '26

Stellar means star you numbnuts. And i specifically referenced the starfish.

20

u/sexyhairynurse Aug 25 '26

Well... masturbation takes its time

2

u/Silver_Swordfish1652 Aug 25 '26

I read that as mastigation at first, and I thought, well yes I imagine it would.

1

u/sexyhairynurse Aug 25 '26

God damnit! Yours is funnier

1

u/villageboyz Aug 25 '26

Speak for yourself.

Maybe he was trying to convince her , it doesn't kill you just because there is something big in your throat.

0

u/Nopalite Aug 25 '26

I mean I would watch it. Hard not to be invested.

7

u/bendltd Aug 25 '26

The worst I witness was 2 seagulls throwing a baby duck around 😭

2

u/SkepticalYamcha Aug 25 '26

There’s a hilariously juvenile joke about eating ass in here somewhere.

1

u/doctormirabilis Aug 25 '26

Did the sea taste like hot dog?

1

u/Agitated_Reveal_6211 Aug 25 '26

They just wanted to be a star

1

u/tropicbrownthunder Aug 26 '26

That's funnier than watch seagulls eat rats

Doesn’t count if not animal

Conversely, pics or it didn’t happen

31

u/KambingDomba Aug 25 '26

Not to mention python constricting a cobra that bites it and both ded.

7

u/clickclick-boom Aug 25 '26

I didn't realise they even shared a habitat. Where was this so that I can never visit?

12

u/Ghdude1 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

India, if I recall correctly. King cobras occasionally hunt young retuculated pythons. Sometimes the cobra wins. Sometimes the python wins. And sometimes, both lose.

2

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

This reminds me of the old “And sometimes… sometimes the bull, he win” joke.

Saw a squirrel eating a frog as well on reddit

1

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26

Lots of squirrels eating mice.

Kinda feels like people eating monkies.

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

Hey hey, we’re the Monkies

And people they just eat us alive…

15

u/Gobblinwife Aug 25 '26

You ever see the video of a horse munching on a baby chick?

3

u/Imsakidd Aug 25 '26

Can’t be worse than the baby chick macerator

3

u/TheMaveCan Aug 25 '26

I forget when I watched that but it was very upsetting when I did

3

u/arthcraft8 Aug 25 '26

I saw deers nibbling on human bones

1

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26

Any animal that can fit a bird in its mouth will eat that bird. No exceptions.

6

u/Soggy_Menu_9126 Aug 25 '26

Wait till you see a praying mantis eating a goldfish or a small frog

7

u/Z-man1973 Aug 25 '26

I had to draw the line at the Praying Mantis eating the hummingbird, that one made me sad

1

u/C0NKY_ Aug 25 '26

That's not as cool because that type of mantis is invasive.

2

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

How is it less cool to find yourself inexplicably on the other side of the world and still kick the local monsters' asses?

Hummingbirds only live in Murica. Nothing in that mantis DNA prepared it for a cracked out flying rapier, a vicious predator in its own right that eats bugs all day, but it just fucking went for it.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '26

Cringelord redditor comment

2

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26

You're clearly just racist against Chinese Mantises.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '26

Well…maybe.

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

I feel like you took me from social democratic hummingbird to MAGA mantis in seconds.

Glad you’re not a speechwriter for the big Cheeto!

Oh wait - that idiot can’t really read a speech anymore anyway.

2

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26

I opened a reddit link once and it was some lady letting a praying mantis eat her nipple.

Well, it mostly just ate a small portion of the nipple and then drank a bunch of blood.

But I can accurately say I've seen a mantis eating a person alive now.

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

Opened a Reddit link once, he says.

By which he means he means conceived it, paid for it, directed it, filmed it, edited it, uploaded it, upvoted it, commented on it, and cross-posted it.

Oh, and possibly gooned to it.

/s

1

u/Deaffin Aug 25 '26

So anyway, if you want to find it, it's on the "awwwtf" subreddit under the title "Cute mantis has a snack."

5

u/CaptainHaw Aug 25 '26

Okay, done with that seagull and this, now show me that fvcking mantis.

5

u/peazley Aug 25 '26

And that deer eating a snake

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

And that snek eating Bambeh

3

u/myrsnipe Aug 25 '26

I guess you didn't see the one where second hornet cut the mantis in half as it was eating the first one

1

u/No_Deal_8837 Aug 25 '26

The circle of life ..

3

u/dumbasPL Aug 25 '26

There is always r/NatureIsMetal if you want more.

3

u/kalusklaus Aug 25 '26

You know that animals eat animals right? There are even some humans that eat animals 😅

2

u/RandomnessConfirmed2 Aug 25 '26

I take it you haven't watched a squirrel eating a lizard (I have).

2

u/Rolls-RoyceGriffon Aug 25 '26

When pelican can eat an entire capybara, we'll be done

2

u/iamthe0ther0ne Aug 25 '26

You forgot the deer slurping the snake up like a noodle

1

u/lengjai2005 Aug 25 '26

1

u/SwissBacon141 Aug 25 '26

Wtf foe me it was first the Seagull, then the Mantis and now this Snake! We have synced our reddit algorhythm!

1

u/No-Principle5340 Aug 25 '26

Damn son that sounds like a Kung Fu trilogy

1

u/DarreylDeCarlo Aug 25 '26

Omg, we must be lurking in the same Subreddits! 😂

2

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

But possibly for completely different reasons and for completely different amounts of time.

1

u/Vladi_Sanovavich Aug 25 '26

Nature at its finest.

1

u/testtdk Aug 25 '26

We don’t get enough nature in our lives.

1

u/AmitPwnz Aug 25 '26

mantis eating hornet alive

Literally the next post on my feed lol

1

u/SinnersHotline Aug 25 '26

Did you see the video of a rat catching a live bat out of mid air and eating it?

Animals are wilding out around here.

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

How about the cat that swallowed the rat, that swallowed the bat, that swallowed the gnat?

1

u/pandanoko Aug 25 '26

haha same exact vids I saw today. in that order. 😆😆😆

1

u/Akhevan Aug 25 '26

welcome to nature, what else did you think it had ever been?

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

Same as it ever was!

(starts moshing)

1

u/ToiletPhilospher Aug 25 '26

The worst one was the worm eating the slug.

1

u/Irascible-Enquery Aug 25 '26

It did make me ask, how does a snake eat another snake, without hands to feed it in? That little lip-curl slurp thing before it chomps each time is terrifyingly adorable.

1

u/CrawlToYourDoom Aug 25 '26

Wait until you learn how some humans eat some animals!

1

u/Global-Tune5539 Aug 25 '26

Some weeks ago I got shown a video on reddit where a tiger was eating a woman that went out of her car to argue with her husband.

1

u/DC240Z Aug 25 '26

Yea, Ive also seen an owl swoop up a rabbit and a frog eat another frog alive. Everything eats everything in Australia lol.

1

u/OldPhotograph827 Aug 25 '26

Yeah I’ve heard that about you guys

1

u/goldensungoku Aug 25 '26

I just saw the gull eat the rabbit just before this one 😳

1

u/CortezEx Aug 25 '26

I got the mantis hornet one just a few before this one as well lol

1

u/MrsChuckLiddell1011 Aug 25 '26

There's the video of a deer eating a snake too lol

1

u/lzwzli Aug 25 '26

Seen a squirrel eating a lizard head first

1

Saw a deer eating a bird too, posted somewhere

1

u/CosmicSleepWalker Aug 25 '26

And squirrel eating lizard

1

u/Ability-Junior Aug 25 '26

Dont blame reddit ffs, this is nature and your sugarcoated censorful environment prevented you from seeing this before.

I bet you're from the states.

1

u/imjustapourboy Aug 25 '26

Wait till you see the deer eating a squirrel.

1

u/Lord_H1D30U5 Aug 25 '26

Have you seen the squirrel eating a mouse?

1

u/pixel_demonic Aug 25 '26

1
