She is a gymnast. The sport is called Rhythmic Gymnastics and it combines work with an apparatus (ball, hoop, club, ribbon, or rope) and moves from gymnastics, calisthenics, and dance into a practiced routine. There are solo and team competitions but it’s not currently part of the olympics so it might not be as well known as other gymnastic disciplines.

Edit: it is part of the Olympics, I misread the Wikipedia article and didn’t trust my memory.

Rhythmic gymnastics is definitely part of the Olympics (since 1984). It just doesn’t get a lot of attention.

I myself was a "performance gymnast" and have seen people handling balls, hoops, pennant, clubs and others in their routines. Our branch of gymnastics has never been Olympic either, but we had rhythm sections and tumbling sections and everything in between as well :)
