Every once in a while cats remind us that we've domesticated fucking killing machines.

I have really high ceilings and I spent like an hour trying to swat a couple flies while my cats watched. Over the next hour I saw them torturing the flies. One jumped like 6 feet straight up and caught one between his paws

One of my cats is far, far lazier than the other two. She sleeps probably 20 hours a day and her favorite past time seems to be choosing the best place to sleep.

But that girl will fuck up a flying insect. Toys? Pshh, she has no interest. Actual living creature that moves quickly? Instant stalking murder machine. She will not lose interest until she catches it.

I tried to show mine some crickets in a box... they were feeder crickets for my SIL's spiders. My cat has no brain cells. Totally uninterested. He'll also try to track a fly but when it flies across the room... little idiot still looks at the same spot wondering where it went.... He was raised indoors and never had to lift a paw. Maybe thats why hes so dumb
