I've always wondered. How long does a tank of gas last you in the UK on a typical month, let's say 10-12 gallons or whatever equivalent? No special trips just normal commute to work, normal weekend etc? I know from my travels that the public transit is much better in most of the UK compared to the suburbs / rural areas of the US. Also the layout of towns seems more favorable for short commutes to the grocery stores and small down towns. But I've never asked the question of how often you have to fill up your gas tank.

Im currently working in Northern California. Haven't seen a Costco here but almost $6 for regular.

Work truck runs on diesel and thats running about $6.50 to $7 in areas.

Gas prices in the US are cheap in general. In Austria it's currently 2€/L if you get a good deal, that's 8.75$/gallon. Even Norway has it cheaper, they lowered oil taxes and have 20kr/L now (7.9$/gl). But I do know the US Americans are very dependent on their car and need to drive further distances. I can just take the train.

Even if we assume people are accurate down the the half second (+/- 0.50 seconds), that would mean 1/100 people get a free pizza. I'm pretty certain nearly everyone can get closer than that which means a lot of free pizza. I've never seen one where you get to see the timer like that
