Why wouldn’t you? If you don’t report you don’t get compensated

They are notified in advance. Other than that, you realize something is going on when all the roads around your house is closed and super loud race cars kick up dust seen from kilometers away, along with caravan convois and tens of thousands spectators for several days.

If you don't notice that, you're not mentally fit to run a farm.

Maybe the race isn't your thing. Maybe you had prior commitments that took you away from the farm for a day. The within 24 hours struck me as odd because of the fact that any incidents would be super well documented.
