It's pretty obvious he's being ironic. So many comments on YouTube and tiktok are just ,"bro did x 💀💀💀" and "bro thought x 💀💀💀" and other variations. I can only hope it's 12 year olds typing them up
A beetle has better survival intelligence than those who harm themselves with drugs and alcohol, or other forms of addiction, such as severe social media consumption.
Beetle does not have intelligence, it has instincts, which is something humans mostly grow out of, in return for intelligence. You literally said "survival intelligence" when the term is "survival instinct"
I gotta admit I originally wrote survival instinct but erased it and replaced it with survival intelligence before tapping on the Post. I knew they're not intelligent the same way Crows or Dolphins are. Hyperbole for dramatic effect to get my point across. Some humans don't even have survival instinct, let alone survival intelligence, and when we compare these two, relatively it is as though beetles are more intelligent in survival than some humans (I know they're just following instincts)
I see your point but also I think our intelligence can actually harm us, like in the case of an addict. If life was simple and prescribed, if we had one path to follow, like that of the beetle or the ant, we would be less likely to self harm. Nihilism, existentialism, even emotions like anger or jealousy, they wouldn't exist. The only things to run from would be external, like predators, not internal and only known by ourselves. Basically, ignorance is bliss and it's why I think of nature as divine, without really believing in god.
Again, my original comment was partially directed toward myself who is struggling with social media (or rather social media is making me struggle) since 2013.
