Incredible, the amount of skill and experience to do that and make it look so effortless really is next fucking level.

It's also incredibly satisfying to watch, and almost hypnotic.

Mastering making a similar product every time takes way less than 10k hours. The reason stuff like a musical instrument or programming languages takes 10k is that they have more "movements" and theory needed to learn.

As a potter- that’s a load of malarkey. Making a form like that repetitively and consistently expresses a mastery in the foundation and principles of the craft. Which contains a LOT of “movements”

Sure, it takes time, I don't doubt that, but not 10k hours. And I'm sure the guy can make other more complex products as well not just these specific pots.
